Research Agenda

Our research agenda will be focused on three key areas:

  • Understanding the Needs of Legal Professionals: We recognize that legal professionals face unique challenges in their work, including managing large volumes of data and information, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and navigating complex regulatory frameworks. Through our research, we aim to better understand these challenges and develop solutions that can improve legal practice and make it more efficient and effective.

 

  • Advancing the Frontiers of Legal Technology: We are committed to advancing the frontiers of legal technology through cutting-edge research in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain. Our goal is to develop solutions that can automate routine legal tasks, analyze legal data and documents, and provide insights that can inform legal decision-making.

 

  • Promoting Access to Justice: We believe that legal technology and other potential solutions can play a transformative role in promoting access to justice, particularly for underserved and marginalized communities. Through our research, we aim to develop solutions that can provide affordable and accessible legal services to those who need them the most.

Our research output will include:

  • Short Surveys – the results of which will be included in survey result summaries, statistical analyses, and key findings presented in a brief report or presentation
  • Research Projects – yielding detailed research reports and data analyses
  • White Papers – to inform and guide decision-making, propose solutions, or influence policy
  • Case Studies – involving in-depth examinations of specific individuals, organizations, events, or phenomena

In pursuing these research goals, we will collaborate with academics, practitioners, and organizations in the field of law and technology, and disseminate our research findings through academic publications, industry conferences, and other public forums. Our ultimate goal is to leverage the power of technology and solutions beyond justice to not only transform the legal profession, but to promote a more just and equitable society overall.
